Many Accommodation Providers in Ho Chi Minh City Offer Significant Discounts for Night Flight Travelers

Vietnam Airlines is encouraging accommodation providers to participate in creating packages that combine flights (specific routes at attractive and reasonable prices, departing before 6 AM and after 9 PM) with free or 80% discounted first-night stays (minimum stay of three nights).

As of July 8, 16 tourist accommodation providers in the city have registered to participate, offering discounts ranging from 20% to 100% off the first night's room rate, with subsequent nights either charged at the listed rate or discounted by 60% (policies and conditions vary by provider).

For example, Dong Khanh Hotel offers a 100% discount on the first night's room rate, with subsequent nights charged at the full rate.

The Myst Dong Khoi Hotel provides a 49% discount on the first night's room rate, with a 53% discount from the second night onward, including services such as buffet breakfast, daily afternoon mini buffet from 2 PM to 4 PM, and free access to the pool, gym, sauna, and steam bath.

Meanwhile, Muong Thanh Luxury Saigon Hotel offers a 45% discount on the first night's room rate, with subsequent nights charged at the full rate, and a free one-way airport transfer (7-seater vehicle) between 10 AM and 10 PM on the day of check-out, with a minimum stay of three nights.

The Liberty Central Saigon hotel chain (Riverside, Citypoint, Centre) offers a 50% discount on the first night's room rate, with subsequent nights charged at the full rate.

The A25 hotel chain (6 locations) offers two promotional packages: a two-day, two-night stay with a 50% discount on the first night's room rate and a 20% discount on the second night; and a three-day, three-night stay with a 70% discount on the first night's room rate and a 20% discount on subsequent nights.

Based on the registrations of the 16 establishments, Vietnam Airlines will proactively contact and work with them to create combo packages that include round-trip airfare and two or three nights accommodation in the city, aiming to attract more tourists to Ho Chi Minh City in 2024.

Recently, to meet the high travel demand during the peak summer season of 2024, airlines have optimized their fleets and staffing, increasing the number of night flights, thus helping to reduce airfares.

However, night flights have not attracted passengers, leading to many cancellations. Therefore, the cooperation of relevant parties is necessary to make night flights more appealing.
