Silverland Sakyo Hotel has received the Silver Award at the Hospitality - F&B Excellence Award 2026, organised by VMARK International Design Award. The Silverland Sakyo VMARK award was presented on 22 October 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City during the VMARK Design Voices | F&B & Hospitality conference, and DesignPlus Magazine featured the hotel in its coverage of this year’s winners.

About the Silverland Sakyo VMARK award
This year’s programme ran under the theme “Where Design Meets Experiential Luxury”, recognising hotels, lounges, bars and resorts where design shapes the way guests spend their stay. Silverland Sakyo is listed among the 2026 winners on VMARK’s official winners page, in the Hotel, Lounge, Bar, Resort category.
What the coverage highlights
DesignPlus looks at how we have turned wabi-sabi, the Japanese appreciation of things that are imperfect and impermanent, into the way guests arrive, rest and dine at Sakyo. The details it points to are the ones our guests pass every day:
- The driftwood installation (nagare boku) at the entrance, kept with its original cracks and curves instead of being replaced with new, polished wood.
- The karesansui dry garden in the lobby, where one large central rock sits among smaller stone clusters and guests take afternoon tea on the sofas around it.
- Dark wood, natural light and restrained decoration in our 76 rooms across six categories, from the Stillness Studio to the Sakyo Suite.
- Three places to eat and drink: Hareta hi restaurant for the breakfast buffet, Bason Café Sakyo on the ground floor and Oasis Saigon Bar on the rooftop, beside the jacuzzi.
A recognition we share with our team
Since we opened on Le Thanh Ton Street in 2014, and after a full renovation, our team has looked after the same details the jury noticed. The Silverland Sakyo VMARK award recognises the people who keep them alive: the housekeeping team that cares for the wood and stone, the kitchen that sets up breakfast from 05:30, and the bar team that welcomes guests to the rooftop each evening.
