1. HIGHLIGHT EVENTS IN HO CHI MINH CITY CELEBRATING THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE LIBERATION OF SOUTH VIETNAM

A number of significant events will be held in Ho Chi Minh City to mark this momentous anniversary in Vietnam.

1.1 Military Parade, Procession, and Cannon Salute

The military parade and procession, which will travel along the main thoroughfares in downtown Ho Chi Minh City, is one of the most eagerly awaited events. In honor of the historical significance of April 30 in 1975, this magnificent event will demonstrate the strength and unity of the country.

On the morning of April 30, 2025, the military parade and procession honoring 50 years of national reunification will be held on Lê Duẩn Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. With an expected 13.120 attendees, the event will include spectacular performances including:

• 21-gun salute accompanied by the National Anthem of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
• Aerial salute by the Air Force: 13 helicopters, 9 YAK-130 fighter jets, 7 Su-30MK2 fighter jets.
• Procession of symbolic vehicles, including: A national emblem float - A Communist Party flag and the National flag - A vehicle carrying a portrait of President Hồ Chí Minh - A memorial float of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of South Vietnam.
• Marching parade of military forces, militia units, police forces, and civilian representatives.

1.2 Spectacular Firework

Every year, the fireworks display lights up the city skyline to celebrate the April 30 Victory. Both locals and tourists will congregate to see the magnificent performance against the glistening nighttime lights of Ho Chi Minh City.

According to official announcements, the fireworks show will take place from 9:00 PM to 9:15 PM on April 30, 2025, at the following locations:

• Thủ Thiêm Tunnel Park (Thủ Đức City)

• Đầm Sen Cultural Park (District 11)
